Coliseum Lexus in the Community: Champions for Charity 2023

We were proud to continue to support the 19th Annual East Oakland Youth Development Center at the Callippe Preserve Golf Course that took place on October 23, 2023.

The East Oakland Youth and Development Center develops the social and leadership capacity of the youth and young adults so that they are prepared for employment, higher education, and leadership opportunities. The East Oakland Youth Development Center opened its doors in 1978 with Robert Shetterly’s vision. Shetterly believed, “To do well, you must first do good,” and unlike most, he made a personal commitment to partner with the community to change the conditions of injustice for marginalized youth.

The Champions for Charity event included a full day of golfing, dinner at the Callippe Preserve Golf Course, opportunity drawings, a silent auction and a live auction where players can bid on the Lexus Champions for Charity Pebble Beach Golf Package, the highly sought-after experience that includes two playing spots in the LCFC National Championship at Pebble Beach.

All proceeds from this event benefit EOYDC’s free after school and summer programs, which provide free academic, enrichment, leadership development, and career exploration supports to over 1,000 children and youth each year.
